This report compiles a detailed account of the way Iranian authorities violate the right to life of people who protest the state’s policies. Covering the protests in November 2019 and the government response, this report demonstrates that the responsibility for kidnappings, torture, and political murder of protesters lay with the state authorities. Beyond this, the work seeks to show how the authorities have responded to the allegations of human rights violations and, specifically, to calls for fulfilling their duty to investigate.
